4WD and Camping Course
Date TBC
Come and join us on this fantastic introduction to Outback travel, learn along the way and gain experience as we explore the best destinations Australia has to offer. This trip will take you from Perth to the Murchison House Station in Kalbarri, in the semi-arid Murchison region of Western Australia.
Murchison House Station
First settled in 1858, Murchison House Station is one of the oldest pastoral leases in Western Australia. From the rugged and spectacular Zuytdorp sea cliffs and the majestic Murchison River which runs through the property, to the inland gorges backing onto the Kalbarri National Park, this station has plenty to offer the 4WD adventurer. Come with us on an exciting five-day journey into the Kalbarri region. Our campsite will be close to the banks of the Murchison River. Each day we’ll explore a different part of the historic Murchison House Station, learning how to travel in the different types of terrain as we go. You’ll enjoy a swim in the river, and even spend some time fishing in the evenings. We’ll also visit the Kalbarri National Park with its picturesque gorges and the new Skywalk viewing platform. There will be plenty of photography opportunities on this trip. There are limited places on this outback adventure to ensure an enjoyable experience for all, so make sure that you book early.
Vehicle Suitability:
You will require a minimum of a standard 4WD vehicle with low range. It is not suitable for soft roaders. The varied terrain is suitable for beginners as well as experienced 4wdrivers, and tuition will be provided if required.
Camper Trailers and Caravans:
This trip is suitable for both off-road camper trailers and off-road caravans.
Camping:
We will be camped in the same bush camp location for the duration of our stay on the station. There are no facilities at our campsite so you will need to be self-sufficient. A bush toilet will be provided.
